The "OKTÁV" Project for Facilitating International Mobility

This study presents some categorizational possibilities for research and practices of international student mobilities and shows on Project "OkTáv", which is being implemented through the cooperation of six universities from four countries—Hungary, Romania, Serbia, and Slovakia—and aims to support university students enrolled in teacher education programs. Building on a series of prior research projects, the OkTáv Project develops and implements the following outcomes: a) A literature review addressing international responsibility; b) Documentation of good practices in international mobility; c) Attitude, opinion, and satisfaction surveys for students and lecturers, applicable as pre- and post-tests in university courses, preparing participants for international mobility; d) Methodological guidelines for these surveys; e) A book presenting the theoretical framework of the OkTáv Project; f) A 30-hour university course titled “World Citizens in Education: Fundamentals of Project Planning”; Alternative teacher training modules linked to international mobility; g) A specialized teacher training course; h) A methodological guide for the “Educational Cosmopolitans: International Perspectives in Teacher Training” train-the-trainer program.
